  • Artists Describing Their Art:

Anita Zotkina - The subject of my artworks is a spiritual journey into subconscious world and exploration of our interconnectedness with each other and with all sentient beings in the Universe. My images are coming to me in the form of random downloads, that I draw down on a scratch paper, and which later I replicate in color. My main medium is oil on canvas aEUR" I enjoy its thickness and permanence. I also work with Acrylic on paper, it gives me an opportunity to create works of different texture and level of details. I am also working with charcoal and pastel. I strongly believe in a beautiful and harmonious world and trying to express the feelings of love, compassion, inner peace and appreciation. ...

Marisa Reve - "I do not do copies or reproductions of my artwork. All my pieces are unique. Those who purchase my paintings are assured that nobody else will have the same piece." "I have a lot of passion in my colors and my paintings show my emotions." Marisa Ventura was born in Angola in 1969. In 1975 the family moved to Lisbon, Portugal, where she currently resides. At an early age her talent was evident. Although her career in business administration and family obligations occupied most of her time, she never gave up on her dream. She has enrolled in painting classes and is gradually developing her own unique style. Marisa combines a wonderful sense of color, line and texture in her depictions of life. ...

Wojtek Kowalski - I am a self-taught person. ... My paintings rise from an internal need. I find inspiration in peace and quiet , by observing nature and people. My works show my own vision of the world. By using colours and simple forms I convey feelings and emotions as well as dreams and fantasies. Ideas spring to my mind when nothing happens around me. I am guided by my own sense of beauty and aesthetics. ...

Luise Andersen - Luise'Mignon' Andersen Luise'Mignon' Andersen has only recently begun to reveal her lifes work. Soon after her debut she exploded onto the mainstream art world. Her breathtaking pieces have captured international interest. The stories Luise'Mignon' is telling through her truly deep, layered works seem to decipher the past and foretell the future, perhaps sharing her window to other dimensions and a seventh sense. Her detailed acrylic'Mignon' series speaks to the beholder. They inspire raw emotion and ignite ones imagination. The indescribable nature of the "Duree De Ma Vie" in particular has a growing portion of the art community considering it the conception of an entirely new style. Donna Gallant - Art is a daily routine in my life. I see, hear, taste, feel and smell the life that surrounds me and I am inspired by the simplest aspects of this world. Whether it be the way the light hits an object or the way objects or forms move in space. I find it all so fascinating and alive. I try to portray these experiences and expressions through my art making....

Steven Gordon - Light is the quintessential component in Steven Gordon's powerfully luminous landscapes of California. They derive their strength from the artist's intimate dialogue with land and light: "At times I feel as if I'm painting with light. It's exciting to take something so completely ephemeral and control and create with it." Since the late 1970's Gordon has been focusing on the visual impact of changing light effects in the Napa Valley wine growing region of California. Continuously exploring and formulating new visions, he has been producing pastels of rare immediacy. Steven Gordon grew up in his native town of Waukegan, Illinois. After having been self-taught in his early years, he decided on formal training in the arts. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a bachelor's degree in art in 1973. For his master's program, he chose Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. In 1976, he received his Master of Fine Arts degree in painting. The following year, Steven Gordon came west to settle in the Napa Valley. He secured a job with a local winery which turned out to be a fruitful relationship since Gordon was given an annual showing of ...
