  • Artists Describing Their Art:

Gurdas Dua Fiipc Fbaf Hon.apasp - Pictorial is mother of all branches of Photography. So I always have a Pictorial approach towards my subject. When I select my subject matter, my priorities are- 1. Originality of the subject matter. 2. Interest in the subject matter. 3. Composition including lighting on subject. 4. Technique of taking Photograph. 5. Presentation. My Interests are in the field of- Landscapes, Still life, Children, Portraits, Nature, floral and especially Human Interest Photography. My Profession is Advertising & Industrial Photography. I strongly feel that just clicking the shot do not make anybody a photographer, but if one does all the processes like film developing, print making and print finishing or Digital Photo Finishing himself / herself then he or she can be called a photographer. That is the reason I do all the processes myself in mediums like Black & white, Color Negative, Color Positives and Digital etc. ...

Ellen Rosenberg - aEURoeWhen you approach something to photograph, first be still with yourself until the object of your attention affirms your presence. Then donaEURtmt leave until you have captured its essence.aEUR Minor White Art is neither a profession nor a hobby. Art is a way of being. It is an expression of the human spirit and an integral part of all beings. My creative passion is expressed through the art of photography, allowing for a vocabulary of imagery that is my own. These photographs arise out of my own spirituality, a practice of mindfullness and being fully awake to the present moment. As my journey has taken me deeper into the study of Dharma I have recognized that the camera becomes an extension of my being. I bring the camera to my eyes and aEURoefeelaEUR the image that appears in front of me with a heightened awareness. An opening to the world precisely as it is, offering up all the richness and beauty that is present within this moment of time. I seek to create an intimacy with my photographs, allowing for the viewer to feel the art form, not as a two dimensional visual archive of a moment, but to...

Daniel King - Daniel spent his childhood in the midwestern United States, received his BFA in Media Studies at the Columbus College of Art & Design, and served as an Air Force Officer at the airplane maintenance/storage center in Tucson, Arizona. He is still making up for time lost. In 2006 Daniel returned to personal/experimental film. He began interrogating his relationship with military power, personal authority and the public representation of each. "The images I seek are beneath the surface, and along the perimeter of the designed social landscape, off the beaten path but not out of the city's shadow. I place the burden of dreams, yours and mine, on the places we live and work. Artificial and haphazard landscapes often ignored by society, or hidden from its inhabitants interest me in a very fundamental way.' 'From 2003-2004 I photographed the series "Grounded" focusing on the dreamlike experience of working at the military-industrial storage facility in Southern Arizona often referred to as "the Boneyard." This facility contains the wreckage of out-modded 20Th century defense, and offense, technology splayed across 1200 acres of the desert southwest.' 'By combining antiquated photo-mechanical cameras with the use of digital printing, I ...

Russell Hansen - Master Photographer Russell Lee Hansen has been a professional photographer since 1986. When he was still in grade school Russell developed his art skills using oils and watercolor. He has been Nebraska photographer of the year, In the PPofA Loan collection several times and honored with many Judges awards from print competition. Russell developed his skills in digital imageing and found it to be the perfect marriage between his photography and his art skills. His photography has been displayed at Epcot, PPofA's traveling loan collection, and general collection. "I want people who see my work to relate to it somehow. Hopefully my images can evoke a feeling rather it be calmness, sadness, power, or a rememberence of times gone by." Russell Lee Hansen...
