- Aardvark Arts My name is Lena,I live and work in Berlin .I am one of the rare abstract artists working in fluorescent and light reflective materials .to view under black light, but my work is definately not psychadelic ! I like the element of surprise in my work , under varying light conditions. , I studied at Central School Art and Design, London and for the last 5 years I have researched the role of science in art- and have an exhibition on this theme .I also create visual illusions . .Many of my paintings are 3D. ,human vision is stereoscopic !I create complex mathematical grids , and provide two separate images, - one for each eye .I call my work - subliminal .The pictrures do however function as normal abstract art work and my personal challenge was to create something -" timeless and beautful ". However , my pictures are designed to be viewed under normal light conditions also.In fact they can be viewed vertically or horizontally- 4 Pictures for the price of one ! I am now working on " word ", as art , ie: pictures containing messages. I also offer commissions - " personalised art "- my clients can choose their own colour scheme, their own theme ( within reason ) and whatever...
