Erik Brede - Producing a link between the landscapeaEURtms reality and that imagined by its conceiver is what BredeaEURtms artwork focuses on. Influenced by renowned artist like Ansel Adams and Rene Magritte, Brede creates surreal and fine digital artwork . Brede follows a conceptual approach thus utilizing a wide scale of subjects in a multi-layered manner. His work focuses on concrete questions that determine our existence. Erik Brede is a photographer and Photoshop artist, born in 1971 in Svolvaer, Lofoten Islands, Norway. His photography journey started at the age of 11 when his father introduced him to the great magic of film development and post-production in his low budget darkroom. Even if the old analog darkroom is replaced by Photoshop and Lightroom, his vision and craetive ideas are the same. With a conceptual approach, Brede tries to approach a wide scale of subjects in a multi-layered way to produce a link between the landscapeaEURtms reality and that imagined by its conceiver. Julie St Clair - Seattle artist JULIE ST. CLAIR has been working in photography, film and video for more than 30 years. She studied Fine Art and Commercial Photography at the Academy of Art, San Francisco. Julie began as a fashion industry color technologist - working with photographers in exposing film for optimum results for film to print process. She moved from color technologist to art director, creative director, and finally to commercial film and video director, producer and editor. Julie's first love has always been photography and she began working with her vast library of images several years ago. Nature plays a major role in Julie's work. Images of light, color, texture and shapes, captured in soft focus to erase boundaries, are layered with images of hard elements gathered from everywhere - public sculpture, public artworks, graffiti, architecture, nature, food - anything. The collection of images moves any single image beyond the range of its own limits. Work can be scaled or commissioned to fit the needs of space, communicate a brand message or lifestyle. ...
Daniela Bombelli - I always showed great interest in figurative art and music. In the creation process of my artworks, I use a great variety of gesture. So I often use the music to write poems, the sound of words to paint, a motion of the body to write a sonata and any pictorial technique to take and realize photographic images. A work of art is a creation of a new reality. A point of view. Our own. Ugliness is can be outrageously beautiful. Beauty is often emptiness. On the formalaesthetic level, I am always searching for the most efficient language. It can be old, new or both together. I am a supple artist. I think the artist is someone that is aware to openly take on himself the responsibility of his inner vision, his personal version of the world around. Directly, authentically, freely. Art is to be. If, as I believe, there is no difference between life and art, they both have inside all that is functional to accomplish everything. Life and art are unpredictable, surprising, terrifying, magical and always weird. To create life, and of course art, everything is useful without limitations. Ask yourself what you really want to create in ...
Brian Devon - Born in Dublin, Ireland, my journey in image making began when I was around eight years old. I must have expressed an interest in photography because Santa Claus placed a beginneraEURtms photo chemistry kit under our Christmas tree. My parents had a old fashioned brass bed with heavy blankets that reached the ground. It was under there that I set up my aEURoealchemists caveaEUR and began a life long experiment in image making. For me there is a need to express something more than the perfect likeness that the camera captures, a wish for the a bit of me to be felt in the work. I began trying to enhance my images using various techniques, including applying colour tints from the kits that, in those days, came with Kodak black and white processing. I worked in several studios in Dublin, Ireland and London, and San Francisco and travelled extensively in Montana, Alaska, The Northwest Territories and the Yukon, during which time Ive had the priceless opportunity to work with some great professionals. Ive had access to state of the art studios in which to further my experiments with color, textures, tints and to explore printing techniques both traditional and ...
