Erik Brede - Producing a link between the landscapeaEURtms reality and that imagined by its conceiver is what BredeaEURtms artwork focuses on. Influenced by renowned artist like Ansel Adams and Rene Magritte, Brede creates surreal and fine digital artwork . Brede follows a conceptual approach thus utilizing a wide scale of subjects in a multi-layered manner. His work focuses on concrete questions that determine our existence. Erik Brede is a photographer and Photoshop artist, born in 1971 in Svolvaer, Lofoten Islands, Norway. His photography journey started at the age of 11 when his father introduced him to the great magic of film development and post-production in his low budget darkroom. Even if the old analog darkroom is replaced by Photoshop and Lightroom, his vision and craetive ideas are the same. With a conceptual approach, Brede tries to approach a wide scale of subjects in a multi-layered way to produce a link between the landscapeaEURtms reality and that imagined by its conceiver. These works focus on concrete questions that determine our existence. His work have been sold to television company, record industries and collectors all over the world, and published in books like aEUR~The Best of Photography 2014aEURtm, aEUR~The ...
Jonathan Talks - I am a professional visual artist based in Nottingham where I have been living since 2016. My work primarily focuses on nature, the environment and the human condition. Visually my work is conscious of fine art printmaking using often abandoned techniques as a way of asking the viewer to look closer. Recently, I have found using multiple exposures as a way of enhancing the single image, creating movement and encouraging the viewer to look in different ways. Having gained a Masters degree from St Martins College in 2003 I worked for Kodak until they went bankrupt in 2013. Since then I have travelled the world before starting my career as an artist in 2017....
Claudia Nierman - Some words about my work: The images I produce are deliberately enigmatic and multi-layered. They invite the viewer to engage in the process of storytelling whereby dreaming and living are woven together as a tapestry. I find the sources for my work in the urban environment: window displays, torn posters, graffiti, broken architecture. In short, the remains of man. These objects and situations are eventually transformed by rain, sun, reflections, and shadows, as well as additions made by the passerby. Shaped by the forces of chance, these ephemeral visions are captured on film (and now also in bits and bites) and used as raw material that merge one into another forming a new identity. The result? On one hand, a strange amalgam of my preoccupation with time and memory, and on the other, the way in which the deliberate manipulaton through photographic images can give us insight into our personal and collective struggles. Technical information: I usually work in three different formats: 25 cm x 30 cm and 32 cm x 45 cm printed on cibachrome paper; and a large format of 57 cm x 80 cm, digitilizing the final image and printing it on canvas. (Since this latter ...
Bret Culp - All that remains of a formidable castle is a crumbling ruin overgrown with vines and moss; sunrise illuminates early morning fog drifting silently through a valley in an instant that will exist only once in time; a mountain is gradually devoured by wind and water leaving behind sediment that is already becoming something new. I am interested in examining man's relationship between the ephemeral and the eternal as well as the cyclical patterns of growth and decline that binds all material things. Careful observation reveals the beauty within each moment of a world in continuous change....
Kerwin Williamson - In a way urban photography is like exploration; visual, mental and emotional. And when it comes to a city, its more then just the streets, monuments, iconic locations & structures. Its the little things, moments "seen" by few, major & minor changes, the weather briefly altering the city's mood and the way you feel. As New York's architecture (my current photographic interest) continues to change (reshaping various area's bit by bit) its gives the photographer / visual artist another aspect of the city to explore; not just the structures but its parts, aspects and relation to its environment. Geometric simplicity, the pattern of lines that alter the skyline, at times create shapes in conjunction with the other buildings. Heavy usage of glass (& or similar material) that creates a gleaming / semi-reflective quality that is changing the urban landscape, producing a powerful visual. When you explore its the journey and the subject that leads you towards greater understanding and a broader perception....
Nancy Bechtol - Artists explore and give the world a view of their personal heightened awareness. I visualize and think with keen beliefs and insights. Reflection of human and societal concerns which cross emotional boundaries-- communicating that which is unspoken. My traditional art foundations of drawing, painting and printmaking, evolved into video, digital photography and experimental media. I use digital photography and imaging to envision the concepts originating from the creative pulse. An individual artist explores and gives the world a view of their personal heightened awareness.
