The metaphors are obvious even though I approached the work without any conscious awareness of them: My attention was captured by the expressive body language of both figures. I love figurative work and portraits exactly because of the ability that figures have to express any emotion through a pose or facial expression. So in a way this case of art with unintentional yet potent meaning as art often is. This is a large work and the actual print size is 24”x 36,” however after framing the overall size increases to approximately 44” x 33.” The work is printed on acid-free, archival professional Hahnemuhle fine art paper.
