Artwork Description:
What we play is life-Louis Armstrong
My photographs celebrate the individuality, both subtle and explicit, that infuses every subject with qualities worth capturing. The images are not a technical exercise but rather a grateful reaffirmation of my own passion for the world around us. I think of the lens as a channel between the heart of my subject and my own. If the viewer reacts and resonates to my vision, then the effort was worthwhile.
Music is not merely notes resonating at different decibels. It is harmony and rhythm. Music creates tone color while visual art creates tone color. My passion for music allows me the privilege of creating through my art the sounds of the music and subsequently the soul of the musicians.
