After my graduation I spent many years living abroad and teaching Art. I’m working towards my goal of becoming a practicing artist and have been exhibiting and selling work since 1999.
The years spent in Greece remain the greatest influence on my work. I’m still fascinated with all things Greek, its myths and history. Colour and texture permeate my work - I use autographic elements, fragments, classical images and found objects collected on my travels. Whether in paint or print I build up the piece by multi-layering; sifting through the veils of meaning to convey a sense of something that is elusive, intangible and archaic.
