When I paint I am creating a world that I can place myself into. Looking at one of my paintings is a creation of nature on canvas.
What began as a hobby, after watching Bob Ross one morning on PBS, has turned into a passion for 10 years. I have focused on landscape and seascape scenery because of the way it captures your eyes and imagination. With a fan brush, a few blue, green, and whites strokes a new world is created or sometimes recreated.
While learning the artistry of blending and color composition I have seen a true progression in my work. Some paintings come from pictures that were taken, but I always add my own vision to a painting. A completed painting is one that comes alive, whether itís the lively atmosphere or the short stroke that created the leaves on a branch. While I strive for perfection sometimes the imperfection of the brush can give the most realistic look to a painting.
Looking up at the world is more than just a name of my company, itís literally what I have done since creation. And this I feel adds to my art because I see things that most will miss. Embracing this blessing has added to my paintings.
