It is my belief that the more one culture knows about another culture, the more tolerance and understanding they will feel. I firm believe that Art nourishes and heals the mind and the soul of individuals.
Creating art is for me a humbling experience that has always pushed me to new levels of creativity and invention. The respect I have to each of my work challenges me to paint each work as an individual with its own character. My style is passion and respect to each piece, giving each work the personality, quality that deserves. I want to share a positive message in order to inspire, educate and empower the public. Sometimes my art pieces are pure emotion and sometimes are cerebral and challenging. My love to Physical Anthropology and art are combined in my works. Art is for me as essential as air, transforms me, nourishes my soul, it is a positive extraordinary experience I do believe can transform others.
Creating works based on pre-columbian legends and aesthetics. Metaphysics and research in Mexican artisans work.
Researching thru mythical Aztec and Mayan points of view, influenced by Goya’s, Carlos Castaneda, Octavio Paz and Sor Juana Ines De La Cruz work and daring to create from pre Columbian ideas where women weren't able to paint and create arts since it was forbidden for them.
My statement would be to go where nobody dares to go from the Aztec underworld and Popol Vuh scripts, to Mexican artisans work from Nayarit.
