WOODBLOCK PRINTS
Very often I use separate woodblocks and print them together with different colors. The colors are selected individually, depending on my state of mind at the moment. This process is also influenced by the season of the year, the quality of daylight, sounds, and music. Prints made by this method have a very delicate and graceful structure. Beautiful colors give any space relaxing and leisurely feeling, basically because of a return to natural lines, colors and shapes. Prints are made on japanese high quality paper. The style and color gives the imression of action painting, rather than traditional graphics. Each print is slightly different, and though they resemble monotypes, they are not traditional graphic editions. The first woodblock prints were made around 1989-1990 (i.e. WINGS) as a special edition for my personal exhibition at the Museo de la Estampa. Woodblock printing has been my favorite technique for the last few years. The Artist woodblock ArtPrint are present at the National Gallery of Art in Washington
LINOCUTS
All linocuts are works from the 80‘s created as a part of my postgradual studies at the Academy of Art in Prague. A great collection of linocuts from this period was exhibited in Mexico City’s Museo de la Estampa in 1991. A few pieces are available for sale.
DRAWINGS
Modern digital technology enables printing faccsimiles of original drawings with the highest possible quality, better than can be imaginated. Perhaps it is the same or better quality as stone lithography which is a very old technique used mostly in the 19th and 20th centuries. The faccsimile prints are incredibly real. Prints are made on high quality cotton paper. Thus, you can enhance your collection with faccsimiles signed by the author, at lower costs.
DIGITAL ART PRINTS
These prints were created in the 90‘s as a second product of my Art Director, and Graphic Designer period. Combining hand made drawing with well known visual phrases brings unexpectedly beautiful results with high aesthetics levels.
