Artist Statement -

As an artist I am inspired by the natural landscape, and a sense of atmosphere that is sensed as much as seen. Nature teaches us how to be, gives us hints of the fathomless grace of existence in each and every moment.
As I convey the space, light and colour of my subject, the painting will begin to follow its own rules and energy, both celebrating our beautiful world and creating its own on the canvas. I am happiest walking a thin, exciting line between represented space and a more intuitive, painterly abstraction.
