Artist Statement

Peggy’s paintings are rendered with a detailed pencil drawing on canvas. Then numerous transparent layers of acrylic paint with a brush. There are at least 20 layers of paint in any area. She primarily uses the white of the canvas, rarely adding white to the paint. This technique brings a textural feel to the painting, allowing the feel of the canvas to remain. Time consuming, but the technique came natural to her.
Her delicate style of painting is unique to her.
Peggy has been painting for 40 years, and has toured fine art shows throughout the US....
