In painting, as well as in poetry, Linda Armstrong explores hidden levels of reality. She loves watching each work reveal itself.
This is true whether working from models, as she did in the 90s at Barnsdall Art Center, en Plein air, as she has done more recently in Western Colorado, or from intuitively-captured photographs of landscape detail.
Linda sees art as a spiritual activity. Her works are artifacts of a personal journey. Each painting or drawing is a meditation. It reflects, for her, a connection with seamlessness--a deeper level of consciousness where there is no separation.
