Artist Statement

"That for which we find words is something already dead in our hearts.” Friedrich Nietzsche

I’ve always thought words being poor substitutes that sifted experience of all its excitement and wonder. To find words to describe a feeling or a vision, a moment in time, a passing thrill that is still like a phantom in your understanding, seems a corruption and trivializing. When there are no words invented to describe an emotion, or an image that fills your eyes, what words can you use that do not change all understanding and memory. A dream is lost once you say, “I had a dream…..”.
