I am a painter currently living in Austin, Texas. Originally from Russia, I moved to America in 2000. My journey took me first to the Dallas Fort Worth area in Texas, then to New Orleans, Louisiana, and finally back to Texas where I settled in Austin.

I received a very traditional art education and originally mastered a realistic style of painting. Yet, as an independent artist, I began to explore different styles and techniques. Now I find that impressionism is the style closest to my heart. I work in oil on canvas by using a palette knife, building up the color in multiple layers. The variety of colors and the texture help me truly reflect the way I see the world.
