Artist Statement

I have been drawing my entire life. I was trained at an early age from other great artists and I was very involved in graphic arts in high school and college. My greatest training has been from countless books, private lessons, and obviously a lot of trial and error. I hold a degree in the humanities, but it was not until around 1996 that I became serious about my art.
I have completed many commissions over the years of various themes such as portraits, private and public buildings and homes.
My passion is baseball; and after drawing a picture of Joe Dimaggio for myself and liking the finished product I decided to pursue the sports genre as my primary focus.
I am happily married with three wonderful children who support me 100%. I am involved in local art chapters and events. I participate in about 10 shows, galleries or festivals per year as well as private commission....
