Artist Statement -

A graduate from the University of Washington Patrice received a B.F.A. in Painting, a B.F.A. in Sculpture, and a B.A.in Arts. Since that time Patrice has been painting relentlessly. She is also a recording artist having worked on A&M records. She has several recordings available. You can hear her music at www.cdbaby.com/cd/frownland and www.cdbaby.com/cd/alicedean.
Her influences are many but a few of her favorites are Andy Warhol and Vincent VanGogh. "I enjoy pop art and the comedy of art. Art can be fun and funny. For that reason I paint contemporary objects. I also paint traditional plein air landscapes."
She has a great love of birds and has been painting them for years. Many subjects are endangered birds. Did you know there are more endangered species on the Hawaiian Islands then anywhere else on the plant at this time?
