My work has primarily dealt with details of common objects. Lately however I've been focusing more on wider views and showing idealistic and anti-idealistic views side by side. I respect the power of so called "pretty pictures" and the emotional affect they can have on people but at the same time I'm concerned that pretty pictures, especially nature photos, lull viewers into a sense that everything is good. Everything is not. I propose no solutions but work hard to inform about these problems. Information is the first step in correction. Watch this space for more.
