Hello my name is James Guinevan Seymour and I am an artist from Ballindangan in Cork. Currently I reside in South Korea and have lived here working since 2007 as a teacher and creating my work and I am currently looking to expand on my career as an artist.

I graduated from Limerick school of Art and Design in 2003 receiving my degree in Fine arts and went on to become a fulltime member of Limerick Printmakers.
Whilst at the printmakers I participated in the summer and winter group shows and was also picked for a show titled “Unframed.” This show contained works chosen by Mike Fox head of the sculpture department at LSAD and was also shown at the Mayo Arts centre.
While I was at the printmakers I taught a class in woodblock printing and also had the opportunity of preparing and printing a Litho print by renowned Irish artist Charles Harper for the printmaker’s annual box set.

In 2005 me and a group of fellow artists combined our efforts and took part in a number of exhibits throughout Munster as the group “A.K.A” having group exhibits in Nenagh town, Fermoy and also at the Tipperary arts centre. Our exhibit in Nenagh garnered a lot of local media attention including an article in the newspaper and radio interview as well as being picked as one of the highlights of the year in the Nenagh Guardian New year edition.

In 2006 I spent a year traveling and living in a few different countries from Oz, NZ to Thailand before moving to South Korea where I am currently situated and working.
My most recent exhibit was at the APW gallery in New York in the group exhibit art on record and most recently I was asked to show my work and donate work to the Drawing Dreams foundation in California an organisation that donates art supplies to hospitals for children.
I am at the moment preparing for an exhibit here in South Korea in late August.
