Collage + Landscape = Collagescape
Glama-Rama Salon & Gallery
San Francisco, July - September 2014
With collagescapes, I begin with a painting on paper. I create proportional fields of different colors to represent a particular landscape. The painting is then cut up into small pieces for a collage where they are reconfigured into various patterns. The finished piece may appear abstract, but it is designed to retain the color palette of the place it represents.
The Art of Beer
City Beer
San Francisco, October-November 2013
A new series of beer-themed, mixed media art made from beer packaging and other beeraphernalia. This is a series of work using repurposed material that did not get a chance to make it to the recycling bin. The show will include collages made from six pack containers, labels, crates and bottle caps from California beers as well as beer from all over the world.
