I am an art educator and painter. Currently I teach at Eyer Middle School in Macungie, PA. I also have an art studio where I work on abstract paintings using acrylic paint on stretched canvas. I have a bachelors degree in Art Education from Kutztown University and a Masters Degree in Studio Art from New York University. I was selected for the study abroad program through NYU to study painting in Venice, Italy. My experiences in Italy have influenced my work as an artist tremendously.
I love to intermingle elements of color, pattern and shape in unusual circumstances in my work. Painting is my outlet to communicate the relationships in my head between what is real and what is imagined. I am intriqued with the surfaces in which I create and the way they generate depth and space.
Many people who own my work say that it has a timeless quality that is always fresh and sophisticated while having a bit of whimsy and bold color.
