I am a painter who was born in Kerala, India 1961. In my works most of them are environmental related and its issues. After working in a diverse spectrum of media, I have chosen acrylic and the effort to environmental themes and are related to.
The river, sea or rather any sources of water are to be considered as the force behind the existence of the earth as an organic one. My works almost deals with the problems faces in our environment. My works challenge notions of what comprises normal – in fact questions how normal is normal. Environmental concerns jostle for space with anguish riddled preoccupations. Acrylic and canvas becomes a chronicle of observations and concerns too. Depletion of the environment, and contamination of natural resources (rape of the nature) are the threads that bind my works.
I hope to bring to light this importance through my art. I also want to bring about the idea of what would happen if nothing is done. My works addresses these deep seated fears of loss by focusing on both the land loss and the unique cultural aspects of this region.
