Artist Statement

Words like brilliant and vibrant are often used to describe the contemporary paintings of Jennifer Vranes. With her extreme texture, and colors just brighter than reality, Vranes' paintings capture an intense energy that is both positive and uplifting.

An extensive world traveler, Vranes gets her inspiration from places she has seen from all over the world. Through her art, she transports the viewer to distant lands where poppies grow wildly in breathtaking meadows; where fragrant Lavender is farmed in lush rows in France; or where aspens quake in the Rocky Mountains. Vranes finds the secret utopias that often go unnoticed and she captures it on canvas for the whole world to stop and take notice. Her passion to capture the dazzling beauty of nature stems from having grown up in a small country town in Southern Oregon. Perhaps it is her upbringing that inspires her subject matter which consistently portrays large, open spaces and white houses—much like the house she grew up in.

Vranes continued her education at Brigham Young University , graduating in April 1998 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree. It was after her graduation that she met and married Matthew Vranes, a native of San Francisco. Living in that city had always been a life-long dream for Jennifer, so they moved to San Francisco to see what the exciting art scene had to offer! It was in San Francisco that her art career took flight. Vranes' unique and colorful paintings of European Landscapes were seen in Shows throughout the city. Her work was quickly recognized by highly acclaimed Art Galleries as paintings that would be pleasing to their Clientele, and they began to successfully market her work.

After establishing her Art career in San Francisco , Vranes returned to her roots in Southern Oregon where she and Matthew continue to run a successful Art Business. Jennifer spends most of her day painting in her art studio while Matt works behind the scenes, keeping things running smoothly. Matt's good business sense and tech-savvy know-how and Jennifer's creative genius make them the perfect team!

The paintings of Jennifer Vranes are celebrations of life on canvas! They are a tribute to the beautiful world in which we live. Through her wonderful and unique works of art, she brings joy to the homes and lives of collectors all over the world. ...
