At home is where my painting practice started.
This is where I conducted my visual experiments and mastered my brushstrokes.
It is also around the home that the subject of painting interiors interested me and decided to name it "Roomism".
Later on as I went on exercising, another minor style revealed itself.
It involved transferring certain items that were inside the "Room" into separate paintings that had their own individual meanings.
That is why in my collection of works I have floral subjects and paintings of containers together with abstract works.
These I consider them as separate paintings which represent my "Inner beats",since they represent my inner most feelings and are separate from the other works.
Flower subjects together with the containers symbolize my daily life experiences as an artist. In terms of feelings and moods at a particular moment and can either be good or bad.
The abstract works,on the other hand, are basically intellectual and philosophical in nature.
Other than this, another style emerged, which I labeled "Elevationism".It involves creating outsider works that are based on experimentation and creative curiosity outside the home area.
These consist of street scenes that are translated from photographs, surreal sketches and compressive writings.
In summary, the unique connection of "Roomism-Inner beats-Elevationism" is based on a direct combination of observation, imagination and symbolism that is united together by a strong willed creative spirit.Currently,my interest has shifted towards ink work.I've been trying out ink drawings in different colours on a variety of papers. ...
