The process is not as complex as it sounds so stick with me. I start with a photograph, then print it 11x14 on a flat bed giclee printer, onto dry mount tissue. I then dampen a slice of drawing paper and hand transfer the image. This "original" is then water colored and/or penciled. The piece is scanned at high resolution. The original photograph is matched to the scan. A masking layer brings out the photo realistic details.
