Artists Describing Their Art:
Ingrid Kamerbeek - As artist in 3rd generation Ingrid grew up with art. It's like breathing to her. She did oils, pastels, acryls, etc. - all that traditional stuff; but when she discovered the computer in 1999 as art tool she became a "freak" and couldn't stop working with this amazing tool. Today she loves to work "Mixed Media" and enjoys her collaboration with the worldwide artists of the "Webism Group of Worldwide Artists". This group has artists from all fields of art. It is a wonderful community working together not only for art but also for peace and understanding worldwide. If you are an active artist knowing what give and take means come join us:
Jacquie Vaux - My goal as an artist, is to present a beautiful veiw of wildlife in the form of fine art paintings.I strive to show the vivid colors and patterns in the most appealing compositions. I also demonstrate natural behavior and some element of habitat that most beautifully presents this subject manner in the most visually exciting format. I respect and appreciate the wildlife I depict in my paintings. I study and work on improving my technical expertise. This is a never ending process which I address on a daily basis. I have a strong work ethic which allows me to stay focused in order to complete large complex works. I look forward to painting larger paintings of big animals such as elephants, giraffes and cape buffaloes. I am also eager to paint more botanical and floral paintings. ...
Renso Castaneda - From Peru, I have been painting about 10 years, I have always been mesmerized by the human form, my current work concentrates on the nude, and surrealism, and the medium that I use is oil. My interest is focused in the different aspects of the human relationship, the feelings, the emotions, love, and pain. When I paint I like to add drama by adding light and shadow enhancements to get more _expression to accent the theme of every painting. I have several collectives exhibitions and 15 solo show, I have been showing my artwork in South America, United States, and Europa (Spain) ...
Lynne Taetzsch - When I paint I am standing in the desert alone, facing the vast horizon, the pale gradations of sand, sand-colored rock, sand-colored plants, sand-colored sky. There is nowhere to look for relief. I work on a canvas in layers over days or weeks. The painting's past affects its present, leaving traces and influences that subtly or dramatically guide what happens next. Acrylic is the perfect medium for me because it dries fast. I work quickly while the paint is wet, covering the whole canvas. The next day I rework it. When I go to the blank canvas it is upright on an easel. Loud music plays in the background. I dig deep for the anger, the melancholy, the inexplicable energy and exhaustion of daily life, to express it in a large gesture. Audacious color. Reckless line. I struggle with the canvas, building it up and breaking it down. Very often a hideous accident occurs: the paint does not flow evenly from the tube; colors clash in careless abandon; irregular drips and splotches dot the surface. My eye is offended by what it sees. My passion is to tease this ugliness, this unlikely blend of colors and ...
Deborah Wilson - ARTIST STATEMENT - DEBORAH WILSON Ii?1/2m a native of Missouri, but, my husband and I have taken many opportunities to experience other areas of the US and our neighboring countries. So, my artwork is influenced by all of those cultures and environments which we have spent time in. This includes cross-country camping and hiking trips, which dip into Canada or Mexico, along with various missions trips, working vacations and temporary residences. We have gone on working vacations for extended time periods in USVI (St. John) and Yellowstone National Park. And, my husband and I were dual residents of Missouri and Hawaii for about 5 or 6 years. So, as you can imagine, there is great diversity of subject matter and I need several more lifetimes to paint everything that is wanting to be painted! Some paintings have been done in our camper, some in a makeshift studio in the closet, on the floor or on the dining room table. Here in Missouri, I have a studio separate from our house on our land, just outside of Springfield. Who we are and whatever is in our hearts tends to come out in our artwork. So, you will find a lot ...

I just do what I love best, indeed, have to do...Create. I am constantly inspired by life and my surroundings. I find that abstract expressionism and experimentation suits me best though I enjoy working representational as well. It depends on my...
Trevor Heath - A painting should speak for itself. Otherwise, why paint it? However, for those who like to have some background information, here are a few of the things that fascinate and inspire me. The crossover between fine art and illustration. Many of my favourite artists have been illustrators. The combination of images with words and typography. They each contribute in different ways to the message in the painting. The classic icons created by celebrities and the roles they play - in sport and politics as well as entertainment. The balance between the natural qualities of the paint and the way it is used to represent an image. The essence of a subject, especially a film, being conveyed in a single poster. My years as an art director in advertising are, not surprisingly, also a strong influence. ...
Susan Moore - I like to create realistic, fantasy, fairytale images using watercolour, oil, pen &ink, coloured pencil or acrylic. I use very fine detail so quite often mix media(adding tiny ink lines to eyelashes etc. on watercolour or coloured pencil)and using very fine brushes with oil or acrylic. My themes are varied and I am able to work in any style. My personal favorites are fantasy images with a great deal of contrast and depth to make them appear as if they are real. ...
