Artwork Description:   Title with Punctuation is VOLCANIC ROCK SCULPTURES OF CAPPADOCIA or THE DANCING FAIRIES IN PEACH. Each zinc plate measures seven inches high by five inches wide. Media My own blend of four colored, oil-based etching inks on Stonehenge cream colored paper. Inspired by a photograph taken by the artist in 1987, near Goreme in Turkey. In local folklore, it is believed that The Fair Folk Fairies inhabit these ancient, volcanic rock formations. The print size measures 15 inches wide by 11 inches high, or 38.100cm wide x 27.940cm. I hand printed this edition of SIX 6 etchings at The Center for Works on Paper, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, US. Please note that this etching is shipped to the buyer without a frame or mat. This keeps the price reasonable and also allows the collector a wide range of choice in framing selection. For shipment, a sturdy cardboard box is employed. The etching is first wrapped in two layers of acid free glassine and then placed between two archival boards. This is next placed into the shipping box and securely packed with bubble wrap. The price does not include any shipment cost.
