Artwork Description:
This one of a kind, hand created work combines the printmaking genres of monoprinting and etching with both watercolor painting and collage. The etching studio techniques includes intaglio and drypoint. The media is mixed and includes Stonehenge black etching paper, starched tarlatan, French oil base etching ink, Winsor Newton gouache, acid free glue, and, Hunts woodblock printing inks. The work is wired and ready to hang. Framing includes a brown craft paper backing. A wall hook and nail are included. The work was printed and created by the artist at The Center for Works on Paper in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, US. It is the fifth work in a series entitled “THE FACE OF CHRIST”. THE ETCHING PORTION OF THIS ARTWORK WAS EXECUTED ON A ZINC PLATEMOREOVER, SEVERAL NITRIC ACID BATHS WERE EMPLOYED TO OBTAIL FINAL RESULT. THE PRICE INCLUDES THE ETCHING, AN ARCHIVAL MAT, AN ELEVEN INCH BY FOURTEEN INCH BLACK WOOD FRAME, ALL HANDLING COSTS, A CARDBOARD SHIPMENT CARTON, BUBBLE WRAP OTHER PACKING MATERIALS, AND, A CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY.
