Artwork Description:
This etching was inspired by an albumin print created between 1890 and 1910 in Bath, England. It is from The Detroit Publishing Company Collection, Library of Congress Prints and Photographs Division Washington, D. C., Call Number LC-D428-905 PP. The scene shows the area near the Abbey in Bath. I printed the work by hand using oil based inks on RivesBFK white paper. My etching techniques included intaglio, aquatint, and drypoint. Please note that this etching is shipped to the buyer without a frame or mat. This keeps the price reasonable and also allows the collector a wide range of choice in framing selection. For shipment, a sturdy cardboard box is employed. The etching is first wrapped in two layers of acid free glassine and then placed between two archival boards. This is next placed into the shipping box and securely packed with bubble wrap. The price does not include any shipment cost.
