I used three zinc plates for this work, which was inspired by a photograph of the Cathedral Abbey ceiling taken by a friend in 2013. She obtained the unique view by pointing her camera and focusing on the ceiling while laying on the abbey floor. Mulberry bark paper was employed in the chine colle process. Each plate measured four-inches wide by five-inches high. The print size is about eighteen inches wide by ten inches high or 45.720cm x 25.400cm. This is from Edition Two of Four, which is limited to seven original etchings. Search keywords include vaulted, England, abbey, cathedral, ceiling, fans, Bath, and geometry. Please note that this etching is shipped to the buyer without a frame or mat. This keeps the price reasonable and also allows the collector a wide range of choice in framing selection. For shipment, a sturdy cardboard box is employed. The etching is first wrapped in two layers of acid free glassine and then placed between two archival boards. This is next placed into the shipping box and securely packed with bubble wrap. The price does not include any shipment cost.
