Artwork Description:

This etching, executed on Rives BFK white paper in black ink, represents one of the sculpted images of Artemis, Greek Goddess of the Moon, known to the Romans as Diana. The size of the zinc plate used, and size of the resulting image, is 9 high by 6 wide, or 22.9cm x 15.24cm. Print size is 15 inches high by 11 wide, or 38.1cm by 28cm. This is an edition of twelve images. Techniques include hard ground etch, soft ground etch, aquatint, and engraving. I hand printed and published this edition at The Center for Works on Paper in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. Please note that this etching is shipped to the collector without a frame or mat. This keeps the price low and allows the collector personal choice in matt selection and framing. A sturdy cardboard box is employed for shipping the work. The etching is first wrapped in two layers of acid free glassine and then placed between two archival boards. This is next placed into the shipping carton and securely packed with bubble wrap. The Absolute Arts Dot Com price includes all handling costs, shipment supplies, and the coast of the shipment box. Mailing costs are added.
