PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ETCHING IS SOLD WITH BOTH A FRAME AND MAT. THE BLACK WOOD FRAME INCLUDES AN ACID FREE, WHITE MAT. This is Edition Three of Four, Print Number 2 of 5. I employed two zinc plates to create this one printed image, and the etching plates required three baths each in Nitric Acid. This THIRD Edition etching was adapted from a silver print plate taken by my German Great Grandfather in London. He shot the scene while on a Thames River boat trip, which captures the Victorian London skyline draped in an early morning fog. A fishing boat is seen in the foreground and many reflections drift throughout the design. I employed two zinc plates to create the one printed image, and the plates required three baths in Nirtic Acid. Aquatint, intaglio, Chine collé, and drypoint were applied in this Second of Four Editions. Each edition is limited to only five etchings, and moreover, each of the four editions are executed in different ink colors printed on varying brands of etching papers. I hand printed and published this edition at The Center for Works on Paper in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. The oil base ink I used was Charbonnel brand from Paris, and the paper is RivesBFK white. Thai mulberry bark paper adds color via the Chine colle process. Each zinc etching plate measured 4 inches high by 6 inches wide, or 10.160cm by 15.240cm. The image size is 6 inches wide by 8 inches high, or 15.240cm by 20.320cm. The framed etching is 14 inches high by 11 inches wide. Mailing costs are added.
