Artwork Description:

The etching, PRYAMID SCHEME, uses intaglio, aquatint and chine collé techniques; it was the first work created in my WORD PLAY SERIES, a group of prints designed to invoke humor through both title and visual relationship between the brain's left and right hemispheres. It is rather intimate in size (image size is 4inches high by 3inches wide [10.14 cm. x 7.6 cm.]; paper size is 10inches x 7inches [25.4 cm. 18 cm.]; frame size is 12 x 9 [31 cm. x 23 cm.]. The oil-based ink (black) is Charbonnel brand and the paper is Rives BFK white (both imported from France). The lime green mulberry-bark paper used in the chine colléprocess is Unryu brand from Thailand.
