Artwork Description:   I based this 1920 New Orleans scene on two of my original drawings, both of which were inspired by a digital image from the New York City Public Library s photo collection. The cityscape features SAULS corner grocery store in the French Quarter. Moreover, my visual elements provide an optical play of light and shadow balanced by a unique shading design. My media included a blend of French, oil base etching inks printed on Stonehenge brand natural colored paper. I hand printed and published this final edition, of 4 editions, at The Center for Works on Paper in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This zinc plate etching required three separate Nitric acid baths and plate workings and employed the techniques of intaglio, aquatint, and drypoint. The image size or the size of the etching plate is six inches high by eight inches wide. The frame is 11 by 14 inches. THIS PRICE INCLUDES THE MATTED ETCHING IN AN ARCHIVAL MAT, A FRAME of 11 inches x 14 inches, ALL HANDLING COSTS, SHIPMENT COSTS, CARDBOARD SHIPMENT CARTON, BUBBLE WRAP OTHER PACKING MATERIALS, AND A CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. The work is wired and ready to hang. Framing includes a brown craft paper backing. A wall hook and nail are included.
