Artwork Description:
As the aqua blue light washes in through a window in Point Betsie lighthouse from the Lake Michigan water below, it bounces around the spherical tower and its cast iron steps.
For hundreds of years, lighthouse keepers have faithfully climbed up the spiral stairs to attend the lens and help guide a safe navigation for mariners sailing through Manitou Passage. One of the small rewards they would receive for all the tireless efforts is the assurance of always having Self Cleaning Steps.
