Artwork Description:

Walking up the stairs to the lookout at the former life saving station that guarded the Manitou Passage along with Pointe B�tise Lighthouse for decades, an allegorical moment came to me what it must have been like for the countless sailor�s wives who would take this same walk as I am now doing. Scanning over the distant horizon anticipating the emergence of the white canvas sails to appear that might give hope of a safe return or the angst of what might be a �Widow�s Walk�.
