Adapted from the 1930s political propaganda film by Leni Rienfenstahl entitled Triumph of the Will, which was created to catalyze support for Hitler’s Germany. A six inch high by nine inch wide zinc plate, or 15.240cm x 22.860, was used. Oil based ink was used on RivesBFK white paper, which measured 11 inches high by 15 inches wide, or 27.940cm x 38. The techniques employed were INTAGLIO, AQUATINT, and CHINE COLLE. A Thai mulberry bark paper containing gold leaf threads was used in the Chine colle overlay. Please note that this etching is shipped to the buyer without a frame or mat. This keeps the price reasonable and also allows the collector a wide range of choice in framing selection. For shipment, a sturdy cardboard box is employed. The etching is first wrapped in two layers of acid free glassine and then placed between two archival boards. This is next placed into the shipping box and securely packed with bubble wrap. The price does not include any shipment costs.
