This print is from a visual study I did in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, famous for its gothic and Victorian atmosphere and tomb sculptures. I did three limited editions of only ten prints each. This is the BLACK edition, which uses metallic ink on STONEHENGE BLACK printers paper the first edition, is executed in Prussian Blue ink printed on American Masters gray printmaking paper. A third edition will utilize Chine colle and be printed in 2018 near the new moon of October. Etching techniques include intaglio, engraving, aquatint with both hard and soft wax grounds on a zinc plate. Paper size is 15 inches high by 11.25 inches wide, or 38cm x 28.2. I hand printed and published this edition at The Center for Works on Paper in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. Please note that this etching is shipped to the collector without a frame or mat. This keeps the price low and allows the collector personal choice in matt selection and framing. A sturdy cardboard box is employed for shipping the work. The etching is first wrapped in two layers of acid free glassine and then placed between two archival boards. This is next placed into the shipping carton and securely packed with bubble wrap. The Absolute Arts Dot Com price includes all handling costs, shipment supplies, and the coast of the shipment box. Mailing costs are added.
