Artwork Description:
THE TITLE IS, Camden New Jersey Parade in Red White and Blue, 1955. This artwork employs the ETCHING techniques of intaglio, drypoint, and aquatint I executed the etching in black oil based ink, Charbonnel brand from France, on RivesBFK white paper. This etching, adapted from a family snapshot taken in Camden, New Jersey, was created using three separate zinc plates lined horizontally together on the printing press to create one image. As in all of my etchings, several workings of each plate takes place in combination with an acid bath. Each plate measures four-inches high by three-inches wide, or 10.1cm x 7.62cm. The print measures 8 inches high by 14 inches wide. The work was hand printed and published by the artist at The Center for Works on Paper in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Please note that this etching is shipped to the collector without a frame or mat. This keeps the price low and allows the collector personal choice in matt selection and framing. A sturdy cardboard box is employed for shipping the work. The etching is first wrapped in two layers of acid free glassine and then placed between two archival boards. This is next placed into the shipping carton and securely packed with bubble wrap. The Absolute Arts Dot Com price includes all handling costs, shipment supplies, and the coast of the shipment box. Mailing costs are added.
