The zinc plate for this etching measured 7 inches high by 5 inches wide, or 17.780cm by 12.700cm, which is the image’s size. The print measures twelve by ten inches wide, or 30.480cm x 25.400cm. THIS WORK HAS FOUR EDITIONS OF PRINTS EACH EDITION IS LIMITED TO ONLY FIVE ETCHINGS. This is the Best Print of FIVE in this EDITION, which is the First. I hand-printed this work on a Strand Press at The Center for Works on Paper, which is a part of The Philadelphia Museum of Art’s Fleisher Art Memorial in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. First edition is titled THE BLUE EDITION Second edition is titled THE EGYPTIAN EDITION Third edition is titled THE LIPSTICK EDITION Fourth Edition is titled THE EMERALD ISLE EDITION. My STUDIO TECHNIQUES included Aquatint, Intaglio, Chine collé, and Drypoint. THE IMAGE was adapted from a 1987 photograph I shot in Paris within the walls of Père Lachaise Cemetery. Please note that this etching is shipped and sold to the buyer without a frame or mat. This keeps the price low and also allows the collector a choice in framing. The etching is shipped in a sturdy cardboard box. The print is wrapped in two layers of acid free glassine and then placed between two archival boards. This is next placed into the shipping box and securely packed with bubble wrap. The price from Absolute Arts Dot Com does NOT shipment costs to the collector. However, packing supplies and handling costs are included in the price. The MEDIA used included a blend of French and German oil based etching inks on Rives BFKwhite paper. Methyl cellulose and two colors of Thai mulberry bark papers were incorporated into this edition via the Chine colle process.
