Artwork Description:

This etchingt, from my series entitled MY VAMPIRIC DESIRES, was inspired by the novels of Anne Rice, especially BLOOD AND GOLD. The etching techniques include intaglio, aquatint, and drypoint. The work was hand printed and published by the artist at The Center for Works on Paper in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Please note that this etching is shipped to the collector without a frame or mat. This keeps the price low and allows the collector personal choice in mat selection and framing. A sturdy cardboard box is employed for shipping the work. The etching is first wrapped in two layers of acid free glassine and then placed between two archival boards. This is next placed into the shipping carton and securely packed with bubble wrap. The Absolute Arts Dot Com price includes all handling costs, shipment supplies, and the coast of the shipment box. Mailing costs are added. I printed this limited edition of ten prints using metallic, oil based etching ink, Charbonnel brand from Paris France, on Stonehenge black paper. The Image Size is ten inches wide, 25.4 cm, by eight inches high, 20.3 cm. The etching size is 11 inches wide by 15 inches high, or 28 x 38cm. The scene was adapted from several of my original drawings that were inspired by a photograph, entitled A COURT IN THE DOGES PALACE, VENICE, ITALY, from the Library of Congress, PHOTOCHROM PRINTS COLLECTION, Washington, DC. My etching was ececuted in 2012, and the photo was taken between 1890 and 1900. KEY SEARCH WORDS include, VENICE, VAMPIRE, ANNE RICE, ETCHING, MARIUS, SAINT MARKS, PLAZA, CANALS.
