Artwork Description:
I hand printed and published this edition at The Center for Works on Paper in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. Please note that this etching is shipped to the collector without a frame or mat. This keeps the price low and allows the collector personal choice in matt selection and framing. A sturdy cardboard box is employed for shipping the work. The etching is first wrapped in two layers of acid free glassine and then placed between two archival boards. This is next placed into the shipping carton and securely packed with bubble wrap. The Absolute Arts Dot Com price includes all handling costs, shipment supplies, and the coast of the shipment box. Mailing costs are added. This monoprint was exhibited in 2009 at The Philadelphia PRINT CENTER in their 83rd Annual International Competition in Pennsylvania. Exhibition jurors, Shelly Bancroft and Peter Nesbett, are ownerspublishers of the international magazine ART ON PAPER. This one of a kind print is a psychological study of the Catalonianuse of masks in carnivals and festivals. Catalonia is the ancient culture of Barcelona, Valencia and Tarragonna that extends from Northeast Spain to Southwest France. The language and culture dates to before Roman times. Actual image is approx. 15.75 x 10.
