Artwork Description:

Combination od two techniques, ETCHING and MONOPRINT. Please note that this etching is shipped to the collector without a frame or mat. This keeps the price low and allows the collector personal choice in matt selection and framing. A sturdy cardboard box is employed for shipping the work. The etching is first wrapped in two layers of acid free glassine and then placed between two archival boards. This is next placed into the shipping carton and securely packed with bubble wrap. The Absolute Arts Dot Com price includes all handling costs, shipment supplies, and the coast of the shipment box. Mailing costs are added. The original monoprint contains two etchings within its design, one executed on a 5 inch high by 7 inch wide zinc plate, a Minotaur, and the other executed on 2 separate zinc plates. The lower etched image, of two plates placed next to one another with a small separation space, measure eight inches high by six-inches wide. Therefore, The diptych etching image measures 8 inches high by 12.5 inches wide. The two plate etching etching contains the image of a ruined Greek temple with a row of female column figures. This mixed media monoprint was executed using a variety of media on on Rives BFK white paper. There were five press runs to produce the overall image, which measures 16 inches high x 12 inches wide, or 40.640cm x 30.480cm. The print or paper size measures 22 inches high by 18 inches wide, or 57.150 cm x 45.720 cm.
