Artwork Description:
A screenprint I made at college in 1990. Ever since seeing her 'in the flesh' when I was only ten, in an amazing touring exhibition of original artefacts from Tutankhamun's tomb, I have loved Selket, and later produced a series of prints with her image. She is very child-like, but she also carries the scorpio on her head, which hints at transformative power (the scorpio was linked to the eagle, in fact they were the same sign in Egyptian astrology)
