I LEARNED SCULPTURAL ARTS THROUGH PRIVATE CHANNELS, PARTLY IN HUNGARY UNDER THE DIRECTIONS AND WITH THE HELP OF ATTILA BOBALY AND JOZSEF SOMOGYI, AND PARTLY IN MENTON, FRANCE. IN 1996 I ATTENDED THE SUMMER ART ACADEMY OF THE UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED ARTS IN BUDAPEST. I HAD INDIVIDUAL EXHIBITIONS IN THE MADACH GALLERY OF SALGOTARJAN IN 1993, IN THE SERBIAN CHURCH OF BALASSAGYARMAT IN 1997, AND IN THE UJPEST GALLERY IN 2004. GROUP EXHIBITIONS: 1993: SZECSENY 1995: BUDAPEST, MENTON 1996: BALASSAGYARMAT, SALGOTARJAN, NAGYATAD 1999, 2000, 2003, 2005: SALGOTARJAN - SPRING EXHIBITION, OPEN-AIR SCULPTURE EXHIBITION 2000: CANNES 2005: NAGYATAD, NATIONAL EXHIBITION OF WOOD SCULPTURES SZECSENY, WINTER EXHIBITION - PRIZE OF THE TOWN OF SALGOTARJAN CURRENTLY I LIVE AND WORK IN BUDAPEST. INITIALLY I WORKED EXCLUSIVELY WITH WOOD. NOW THE MATERIAL OF MY SCULPTURES IS MAINLY WAX AND BRONZE CAST AFTER A WAX MOULD. MY THOUGHTS, FEELINGS AND THE PLASTIC FORMS GUIDED BY THE FORMER ARE FOCUSED ON TWO MAIN CONCEPTS: "NATURALNESS AND SIMPLICITY" ...

Skip Bleecker - Art Forms Most of my work consists of wheel thrown porcelain forms based on organic patterns of microscopic and macroscopic organisms. Some are based on seed pods, teeth, pollen, sea animals, squash, and even watermelon, but as the development proceeds, they merge and take on new forms of possible and imaginary organisms. All are hand made, one of a kind pieces, usually done in a series, so there might be some similarity among some pieces, but no two are ever exactly alike. Seed Pods For most of my life, I have been both attracted to and very allergic to, large numbers of trees, grasses, and bushes. I have refused to become trapped indoors just because of these allergies, and as I began to develop my own sculptural forms, I examined both macroscopic and microscopic forms in nature. By examining the form and structure of seeds and other natural objects, I found great beauty in these simple forms, and developed simple organic sculptural designs, based on slightly abstract versions of these natural objects. ...

Bobbie Newman - BOBBIE NEWMAN - CHICAGO SCULPTOR I sculpt scenes to express the beauty of human beings in a simple moment, and also scenes which depict my own revelations about life. I hope you enjoy them. I'm happy to do a commission from a photo of anything you may desire: A house, a pet, a person. I can also help you create the idea for depicting your subject. Please contact me to see more work and answer any questions. My work has been sold in Chicago at Objects, Joy Horwich, Merrill Chase Water Tower Place, Chiaroscuro, Erie Street Gallery and Lill Street Gallery....

Win Peterman - Artist Statement "Alice in Wonderland" as a child that is how I felt looking at the drawings, paintings and sculpture in my Uncle's shop. When I become absorbed in creating, the same wondrous childhood feeling - my "magic moment" takes over. Like Alice, I am propelled along the path, capturing unexpected delights. My goal is to spark the "magic moment" feeling in those viewing my art by pulling them in-capturing their minds, hearts and emotions. I grew up surrounded by nature in the Appalachian Mountains of Pennsylvania. When I was 8 years old I experienced an overwhelming need to capture the image of a deer. Only after I drew the deer did the "feeling" recede. I can still see the deer as if the incident happened yesterday. That awakening, so hard to describe, lives within me and I call it my "magic moment". My inspiration comes from the world around me. Nothing gives me more delight than to capture a "magic moment" and find that people viewing my art experience a similar feeling. A teacher once told me that most people are either two dimensional or three dimensional. She said I was both, which was very unusual. I find ...

Maryjean Galivan - Over the years my art has evolved into a personal introspective search. The constant denominator is a strong sense of color, though the subject matter can range from whimsical to disturbing. I feel my inspiration stems from a past saturated with LSD and a present filled with ADD. The combination of these two ingrediants as well as my jaded perception of life are the fulcrum of my creative energy. Since I have lived in Arizona for the last 20 something years, I am inspired by the colors and textures of the desert. For the last year I have been incorporating them into my work. ...

Alice Buttress - My name is Alice Buttress and I live the lovely highland village of Carrbridge near the Cairngorm Mountains in Scotland. I have been working with clay for the past twenty years and sell my work mainly from my Studio in Carrbridge and at exhibitions. I work in stoneware and porcelain, sculpting, handbuilding and throwing in a traditional representational style. I fire my work in an electric kiln and gas Raku kiln with post firing reduction. Also for the past 7 years I have been chainsaw carving wood sculptures for the garden, most popular carvings are owls, squirrels, and bears. Inspiration for my work comes from historic cultures, legends and my surroundings in the Scottish Highlands....
