Owned by William Koch, Art collector in Palm Beach - FloridaWhen I received my first consignment of stone in England I opened the crate with excitement, like a child at Christmas. Within the mixture of stone types, I received a deep black stone, which immediately caught my eye. I saw a mans arm hugging a lady. Before I had even finished un-crating the stones I visualized a sculpture of my husband embracing me as we watch the sun setting. The painting, which complemented this piece, has a beautiful orange background representing the sky on the night this sculpture was born in my mind. We are kneeling on a cushion, which for me represents love. Both the sculpture and painting are my more natural uninhibited expressions of what I see and they tell a much greater story than many individuals can imagine.
