The design of this work started with some immediate goals. Tubular sections arranged in straight and 90 Degree angles. No prominent base and a feeling of pointing direction. This piece was originally painted black but was changed to orange following the installation at Hugh Newell Jacobsen’s Harvey House in McLean Virginia. A much more appropriate color for this piece. The name is inspired by Energie Piek Ijs by Jan van Munster.
