Artwork Description:

This is a working sculpture and it sounds like a real airplane. The wheel and tail move randomly and there is a ghostly image of Howard Hughes behind the wheel. You can see and hear it by searching youtube czappa Spruce Goose. I found the metal front that was from a large fan that looked like it was from a airplane. So I thought why not do a airplane sculpture out of it. I then used smaller fans for the propellers. I thought of Howard and thought why not put him in the piece too. It took over 500 hours to build.,
