Abstract creation of Jesus. Applique inspired by Picasso in a sombre colour palette of golds, browns, black and red. A beard was created with lengths of hessian, wools, beads, fabrics, and pompoms, layered to create volume. A headdress of recycled silk roses was used to recreate the crown of thorns.
